The Duesenberg Starplayer Fullerton Hollow Mike Campbell was made in celebration of the 30th anniversary of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. One of these Heartbreakers was none less than mike Campbell. Mark Campbell has been a Duesenberg player for many years and for very good reason. He is, while not the most famous guitar player, definitely one of the most influential guitar players in the world.
Hollow, but so much inside
Because hollow guitars have a voice of their own, the Fullerton Hollow Mike Campbell is equipped with two open and responsive P90 pickups which perfectly underline the unique wooden tone of this instrument. After all, single coils tend to preserve the tone of the wood a bit more than humbucker pickups do. The pickups integrated this guitar are Duesenberg’s famous Domino P-90 pickups.
All Duesenberg hardware
Duesenberg uses exclusively Duesenberg hardware in a lot of their guitars, this is also true for the Duesenberg Fullerton Hollow. The Tuners, bridge and also the stunning tailpiece are original Duesenberg material. Knowing Duesenberg we, and every Duesenberg player, can tell you that this means quality is guaranteed. It is not without reason that John Mayer and Eagle Joe Walsh play Duesenberg!
