The ‘mother’ of all amps
The tweed-covered Fender Bassman from the late-‘50s is often seen as the ‘mother’ of all guitar amps. It’s simplicity and versatility, wide dynamic range and warm overdrive, made it beloved by soo many legendary players. The Fender Bassbreaker series is a hommage to this icon, but with a twist. It’s a kind of “parallel evolution” in which the time-honored Fender amp DNA results in a satisfyingly dirtier tone that evokes the dawn of rock.
The Fender Bassbreaker 007 Combo futures at a glance;
- 7-watt tube amp
- Single EL84 power tube
- 1x 10” Celestion Ten Thirty speaker
- Vintage-style treble-booster circuit switch on front panel for extra gain and harmonics
- Line output (1/4”) for use with recording equipment or larger amp
- Birch-ply construction
- Black tweed covering and refined pointer knobs
The Fender Bassbreaker 007 Combo is built in the line off the original Bassman-tradition, but it uses a distinctively British power tube (EL84) to add the famous mid-focused flavor from the Island. With it’s 7 watt this amp is ideal for practice or gigging on small stages. You can easily get that smooth overdrive, without damaging your ears.
The Fender Bassbreaker 007 Combo features traditional gain and tone controls. But, and know it’s getting interesting, it’s also loaded with a switchable vintage-style treble booster for increased overdrive and added harmonics. Even the higher gain settings will never mess with the dynamics or the identity of your guitar. And the onboard 1/4” line output is ideal for recording or connecting to a larger amplifier.
The Fender Bassbreaker 007 Combo gives you the best of both worlds; the classic American Fender tone with a British bite. So come to Max Guitar if you want to hear how that sounds!!
