Rare and collectible! These Limited Edition Custom Shop Telecasters that originally came with a Brazilian rosewood fretboard and of course the handwound Agibail Vintage Tele Pickups. These were part of the 2009-2010 Brazilian Rosewood Project that Fender Europe organized. The story is that a batch of a very limited number of guitars were made with Brazilian Rosewood Fretboards and came to Europe only to find they were nearly all impounded by the German government as they did not have the necessary CITES paperwork.
The necks were kept in a special vault in Duesseldorf awaiting the legal procedure. Only recntly the verdict was made that all necks had to be destroyed and replaced by Indian rosewood necks. Fender obliged and these are the last few of this original batch. These sound in-cre-di-ble! really!
